Are you interested in research, but not sure where to start? Education (on any topic) can make us feel come comfortable/confident, so this I have compiled some suggestions for research-related PD. Enjoy!

- DC Employee Development portal has a couple of opportunities for you:
- Responsible Conduct of Research
- Ethical Conduct of Research Involving Humans
- Winter PD Day (Wednesday, March 1st!)
- There is usually at least one research-related session

- Fundamentals of Applied Research workshop series (for delivery by Research Coordinators this Spring). If you have questions, please reach out.
- DC Library resources on various aspects of research (direct link)
- Empowered Educator micro-credential (through eCampus Ontario) has one module (the “Scholar” badge) dedicated to SoTL research; if you complete all 6 modules and earn the badges, you earn a micro-credential (they estimate each one to take approximately 4ish hours to complete) You can find more information here: https://extend.ecampusontario.ca/)
- My RC workshops
- The two offered in the Fall were on the topics of developing research questions and the research ethics board (REB)
- This semester I will offer workshops on publishing your MA thesis as well as repeat the research questions workshop from last semester in case you missed it. You can register for this semester’s workshops using this link.
- I will also offer some workshops in the Spring semester (possibly on publishing and basic statistics). If you have any ideas/requests for workshop topics, please contact me. The dates/times, descriptions, and links to register will always be announced in the LS Newsletter, but I can also provide you with a more tailored 1-on-1 workshop based on your specific needs (just tell me what you want!)
